A new 1340-350 DR joins the Roarke fleet in New York, featuring the first CAT C13 deck engine installation.

We’re proud to welcome Roarke Well Drilling to the Derex family with the addition of their new 1340-350 DR Dual Rotary Drilling Rig! This rig marks an exciting milestone for Derex, as it is the first 1340-350 DR to feature the CAT C13 deck engine, bringing a new configuration to our proven 1340 platform.

As with every new Derex rig, delivering the equipment is just the beginning. Derek made the trip down to New York to work alongside the Roarke Well Drilling crew, providing hands-on training and helping them get comfortable with their new machine. There was no time wasted putting it to work!

Two Holes, 2 Wells.

While I was on-site, the crew successfully drilled two holes, setting casing through more than 50 feet of soft bedrock before reaching competent bedrock. A great opportunity to put the new rig through its paces while gaining valuable experience with its operation.
